Inter Milan and Bayer Leverkusen are the joint runner-up favourites to win the Europa League 2020 competition, with the Sky Bet odds of 5/1.
Leverkusen have been in good form since returning to action in the Bundesliga, winning five and scoring 20 in the nine games they have played.
Before the break, Petr Bosz’s men had also won four of their previous five European games, beating Rangers away at the Ibrox Stadium to earn themselves a 3-1 advantage over the Scottish side.
The Bundesliga side have never won the modern form of the UEFA Europa League, although have won the UEFA Cup in the 1987/88 campaign.
This season they could be within reach of the trophy, however, fielding a host of quality players such as Kai Havertz. The 21-year-old has scored 15 goals for his side this season, including three in the three Europa League fixtures he has played.
Inter Milan, on the other hand, have already won six European trophies, including three Champions League titles, including the famous 2009/10 trophy with Jose Mourinho and another three UEFA Cups, all won during the ’90s.
Now, Antonio Conte’s side will be hopeful of achieving another European competition win as they head towards the first leg between them and Spanish La Liga side, Getafe.
Conte has never won a European trophy, although he does have a significant number of players with European final experience, including, Diego Godin, Romelu Lukaku, Ashley Young, Kwadawo Asamoah and most recently, Christian Eriksen.
