The Premier League action kicks off on Saturday with the 12:30pm game that sees Wolverhampton Wanderers entertain a struggling West Bromwich Albion at Molineux in a fierce Black Country Derby.
The hosts have had a tough run in their last few league games, without a win in their last five. Their last win was against Chelsea back in early December. They did pick up a win last Friday against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup though before Tuesday’s clash with Everton that saw them narrowly beaten by a Michael Keane header to win it for the Toffees. They will be favourites heading into the weekend’s derby though, as their rivals have had an even worse run in the league as of late.
Plenty of optimism surrounded The Hawthorns when Sam Allardyce was controversially brought in to keep the Baggies up, earning a point away to the champions Liverpool in his second game. Since then however, they’ve had a sorry run, being thrashed 5-0 and 4-0 at home at the hands of Leeds United and Arsenal, respectively, before being dumped out of the FA Cup on penalties to League One Blackpool on penalties.
It’s no surprise then that we’ve picked Nuno Espirito Santo’s side to emerge as winners as part of this bet, but we’ve also backed Pedro Neto to get on the scoresheet during the game.
Whilst not being the striker filling the void, Pedro Neto is Wolves’ top scorer in all competitions and the left-winger has found the net four times with two assists so far this season. With Daniel Podence possibly out of the weekend’s tie, Neto is likely to be the dangerman for the Baggies to look out for.
Odds are 9/5 with Skybet for the Portuguese attacker to help his team to victory by getting on the scoresheet.
