Liverpool stormed the league last season, whilst over on the other side of Stanley Park, Everton finished in 12th.
It’s unlikely that it will be as easy for the Reds as it was last campaign, when they cruised to the title and finished first with a margin of 18 points between themselves and Manchester City, despite dropping 10 points in their last nine league games.
With Pep Guardiola’s City side starting afresh they’ll be more determined than ever to not slip up like the previous season and let the title go to Anfield again so easily. Plus, with new recruits that have already been added as well as some potential signing that could make the move to the Etihad, Guardiola’s men could be too much to handle next season.
As for the Toffees, Carlo Ancelotti came in and steadied the ship after a disappointing start to the season. However, with the addition of Abdoulaye Doucoure, James Rodriguez and Allan, Everton look very much a new team heading into the 2020/21 campaign.
There is also a plethora of teams lingering around the European/mid-table spots, such as Wolves, Sheffield United and the two North London clubs last season, who could push the Everton down the table.
Now, odds are 4/1 for the Liverpool to win the title, whilst Everton finish in the bottom half - click here to claim this bet and have it straight in your bet slip.
