Arguably the best midfielder in the league, it’s no surprise that Kevin De Bruyne is the 3/1 favourite with Sky Bet to have the most assists this season and win the Playmaker of the Year award once again.
The Belgium ace won the award for the 2019/20 season after recording a whopping 20 assists, which equalled Thierry Henry’s record. That was De Bruyne’s second time winning the award, winning it in its inaugural year in 2017/18 also.
It means that the 30-year-old has won more Playmaker awards than any other player and De Bruyne but still managed 12 assists in 25 appearances last campaign during his injury-hit season. It’s more than likely he’ll be up there again and fighting for his third Playmaker award and with Jack Grealish at City too, it’s hard not to go with him.
