Arsenal’s form under Mikel Arteta has been something of a mixed bag since he took over in December 2019, as despite their FA Cup and Community Shield triumphs, they have been sat in mid table for most of his tenure. A number of defensive calamities and individual errors have seen the Gunners drop points unnecessarily, leaving them 10 points off a much desired top four finish.
The 13-time league champions have shown glimpses of improvement under Arteta, including important derby victories over Tottenham and Chelsea, but while ever they continue to languish in 10th, the question of how much they are actually progressing will be asked.
