Sunderland’s recent form has been very poor as of late, winning once in their last seven games which has seen them fall out of the automatic promotion spots, but a game against 20th placed AFC Wimbledon could easily be one which could spark them back into form.

Jermain Defoe has only made two substitute appearances since returning to the Stadium of Light, and it could be his connection with top scorer Ross Stewart which could get Sunderland promoted.

The Black Cats had a comfortable 1-0 win over Wimbledon earlier in the season, and with Defoe in the team, and if he is able to combine well with Stewart, it could be the start of a great partnership between the two.

20-year-old Welsh international Brennan Johnson has been in fine form as of late, scoring in four of his last five games in all competitions, which included a goal in a man of the match performance against Leicester in the FA Cup.

Johnson has played a massive role in Nottingham Forest’s newfound success under Steve Cooper, which has seen them propel into the playoff spots with them winning four of their last five games, including two great victories in the FA Cup over Arsenal and Leicester.

Stoke, on the other hand, have been on a downward trajectory after their good start to the season, where only winning twice in their last eight games has seen a spot in the play-offs look very unlikely.

Newport County are massive favourites to beat Oldham Athletic this weekend, with Newport currently in contention for a spot in the playoffs while Oldham are fighting hard to battle relegation.

Telford’s recent scoring record is a strange one, he has scored in three of his last seven appearances for the Exiles, but in those three games he has scored twice, meaning coming up against a team that his team should beat, he should get ample chances to score twice in a game yet again.

Aleksander Mitrovic has had a sensational season so far, with him now being one goal away from breaking the record for most goals in a Championship season set by Ivan Toney last season (31), with still 17 games to play.

Coming up against a Hull City side that is struggling for form, and after conceding three goals to Derby County which isn’t full of prolific scorers, it could be a great chance for Mitrovic to add more goals for his tally.

In his previous game against Millwall, he managed to add two more goals to his tally, scoring in both halves, and with Fulham in great form, winning six of their last seven games, he should get the chances to score in both halves.

Luton Town and Birmingham City are two teams whose forms are massively paralleled, with Birmingham winning once in their last 11 league games whilst Luton have only lost once in their last nine league games, winning six times.

Elijah Adebayo has enjoyed a good first full season in the Championship with Luton by scoring 12 goals in 25 games, including goals in his last two games and playing against a Birmingham team that have conceded 11 goals in their last four games.
