Having moved away from trouble in recent weeks, MK Dons next host a goal-shy and out of form Northampton Town at Stadium MK in League One this weekend.
Goals were really hard to come by in the early stages of the season for everyone, but most sides have found a scoring touch since then, apart from Northampton who have by far and away the worst attack in the league. Their 20 goals from 28 games is six fewer than any other side and is a major factor in why they currently vacate one of the four relegation spots in League One.
They have netted just one in their last nine games and have no wins yet in 2021. The four points they have managed to pick up this year have all come courtesy of 0-0 draws. Meanwhile, MK Dons have won six of their last nine matches to calm any fears of them being dragged into the relegation scrap with Northampton.
Considering how dreadful Northampton’s scoring record has been, it looks unlikely they will score and a win to nil for MK Dons may be on the cards. This is priced at 6/4.
