Tranmere travel to the One Call Stadium to take on a struggling Mansfield Town side this coming weekend in what is likely to be a low-scoring affair. Micky Mellon’s side boast the best defensive record in the league conceding only 8 times in their opening 14 matches whilst keeping nine clean sheets in the process.
In contrast, Mansfield have only been able to avoid conceding twice, both in goalless draws to Leyton Orient and Oldham Athletic, letting in a total of 20 goals so far this campaign. Neither team has been overly prolific in front of goal, with Tranmere and Mansfield scoring 11 and 12 goals, respectively.
All this points to a relatively quiet match for both sides and Tranmere to win and under 2.5 goals at 9/2 is our tip here.
