PDC Home Tour Betting Preview - Tuesday, April 21

Day five of the 32 consecutive nights worth of darts sees a healthy mix of competitors for the PDC Home Tour. Nick Kenny, Luke Humphries, Joe Murnan and Devon Peterson are the men in action for Tuesday's darts showcase, with the PDC rankings of those involved ranging from 34 up to 106.

Each contestant will face each other once throughout the night, live-streaming their play from their own homes via a video call - viewers can follow along with the action through PDC's own TV channel.

The action begins at 19:00 and runs until all players have faced each other at around 22:00, and we preview each match with Betfair right here.

Tuesday's PDC Home Tour will kick off with Luke Humphries taking on Nick Kenny at 19:00. Kenny is the lowest-ranked PDC competitor on show tonight at a ranking of 106, and as a result, the 27-year-old seemingly has his work cut out.

Kenny is an underdog for this one, with a price of 7/4 to get past Humphries with a win. At the same time, the Welshman is 11/10 to hit over 3.5 180s

As for Humphries Betfair rank him as the clear favourite, pricing his odds for victory at 4/9, whilst the Englishman has odds of 4/6 to hit over 3.5 180s.

Considering form, Humphries is, indeed, the favourite. The 27-year-old placed in the last 32 and the last 16 of the PDPA Players Championship Barnsley 8 and 7, respectively. As for Kenny, he has placed only as high as the last 16 twice since winning the Romanian Open in January.

Up next sees the debuts of Devon Peterson and Joe Murnan at the PDC Home Tour. Peterson has had a tough year on the tour this year, and other than reaching the semi-finals of the PDPA Player Championships Wigan 5, the South African has only got past the last 96 twice in 14 tournaments.

He is, however, the slight favourite here, with a price of 8/15, whilst there is a tempting price of 11/8 to hit over 3.5 180s against Murnan.

As for Murnan, the majority of his best major results come back in his early 30s and he hasn't been to the last 32 of a major since 2018, where he made it to the last 32 of the Grand Slam of Darts.

In 2020, the 36-year-old's best results were reaching the last 16 of the PDPA Players Championship Wigan 3, and he has found himself out of tournaments at the last 128 and last 96 on most occasions.

Against Peterson, Murnan is priced at 6/4 to win outright and 8/15 to hit over 3.5 180s.

At 20:30, we see the return of Kenny, whilst Murnan sticks around for his second battle of the night.

Out of all close matches on Tuesday, April 21, this is arguably the toughest to call on the PDC Home Tour. Both players may come into this one off the back of losses, whilst prior to that, neither is in solid form.

The 106th PDC-ranked Kenny is the favourite, however, with odds of 4/5, whilst the WDF World Cup singles semi-finalist is 4/6 to hit over 3.5 180s in this one.

As for Murnan, Betfair once again put him as the outsider, with a price of EVENS to beat the Welshman. 'Shaggy' could be in for a tough night, as he is priced as the underdog for each match, although, this one should be his best chance of victory.

Up next at 21:00, both Humphries and Peterson return for their second battle of three for the night, and just like the previous encounter, it's almightily tough to call.

Humphries, as he was against Kenny, enters this match as the favourite. To beat the Welshman, 'Cool Hand' is 8/11 and to hit over 3.5 180s is a price of 8/13.

As for Peterson, who may come into this battle after beating Murnan, the price is 11/10 in this very close matchup. Peterson is also 6/5 to hit over 3.5 180s.

The South African will stick around for the action at 21:30, where he faces Kenny in his final battle of Tuesday's PDC Home Tour action.

Peterson is back to being the favourite for this one, as it seems Kenny may well, once again, have his work cut out to get a victory in the PDC Home Tour - Peterson is priced at 4/7 to get a win in his final match.

The 33-year-old is, however, not priced that highly to get over 3.5 180s, as he has been in previous matches. For this one, the PDC ranked number 34 is EVENS this time round, but overall, he should get another victory here against Kenny.

As for the Newport native, odds are high once more for him to get a victory. Kenny is 11/8 to claim a win here, which could well be his first of the night, as he is ranked as the underdog in other matches.

At the same time, the 27-year-old is 8/11 to score over 3.5 180s, which is his lowest price of the evening in this sense.

The action on day five of the PDC Home Tour concludes with yet another enticing battle, as Murnan returns to take on Humphries.

After an hour and a half break, Murnan may come into this one off the back of two losses, as he is the underdog in each other match on Tuesday. As for this one, 'Shaggy' is the highest price of the night at 13/8.

This could well be where the money is at for the night, as the break and perhaps coming off the back of potentially beating Kenny, could well work in his favour. However, based off form in 2020 and the PDC rankings, it's no surprise to see him 13/8 for this one.

As for Humphries, 1/2 is a low price for him, but he is expected to get the win here. At the same time, a 4/6 price for over 3.5 180s is worth a go as well, as he could make easy work of this to see the night out.
