Fulham relegation odds

It is often the case that the winner of the Championship play-offs are recognised as the most likely to go straight back down before the new season starts, as they, theoretically, had the worst season of the three promoted sides.

Following the Cottagers' immediate return to the Premier League last time, they must learn from their mistakes that 2018/19 campaign; the Londoners had the league's worst defence, conceding 81 goals.

Up the other end of the pitch, it is essential that they keep Aleksandar Mitrovic. The Serbian international was the joint top scorer in the Championship with 26 goals each. The goal threat he possesses will surely attract interest and if he was to be sold, Fulham will be up against it in the fight against the drop.

The newly-promoted side are 10/11 to go straight back down.

West Brom relegation odds

Back after a two-year absence from the top flight, Slaven Bilic's side just managed to get the better of Brentford in the battle for second place in the Championship.

One cause for concern from this season for the Baggies is that they drew too many games - 17 in total. If a team in the Championship are unable to finish off opponents in most of their matches, then questions have to be asked about their capability of doing so in the Premier League.

However, Slaven Bilic has proven himself in the Premier League and is probably the best man for the job at the Hawthorns. They are now priced at 11/10 to be relegated.

BRIGHTON TO BE RELEGATED @ 4/1

Villa to be relegation odds

Villa can count their lucky stars that they managed to stay in the Premier League. A fault in goalline technology, along with the work all season from Jack Grealish was practically the only reasons they avoided relegation.

Despite the survival celebrations, Dean Smith needs to work towards avoiding a close call like that for next season, especially as Grealish is likely to move on pretty soon.

The midfielder is the biggest source of hope at the club and no doubt the priority at Villa Park is to improve the recruitment process, as the signings of Wesley, Marvelous Nakamba and Mbwana Samatta have been underwhelming.

Villa are priced at 2/1 to be relegated this season and they face an incredibly tough task ahead across the board.

Crystal Palace relegation odds

It is often the case that when a team finishes the season in poor form, there is a danger that the poor form continues into the following season and results in relegation.

Crystal Palace's terrible end to the campaign saw them earn just one point from the final eight games so the danger is very much alive. As for immediate danger, another transfer window means more speculation over the future of Wilfried Zaha and the Eagles are at risk of losing their key player.

Failure to reinvest any potential transfer fee in a like-for-like quality replacement could spell disaster for the team at Selhurst Park. Palace are 9/4 to face the drop ahead of the 2020/21 season.

Newcastle United relegation odds

Following news that the prospective takeover at St. James Park has fallen through, Newcastle United are in a very similar position to where they were at this point last year.

From the hopes of potentially rocketing towards Europe, the Magpies are now looking towards the bottom once more with Mike Ashley in charge, and relegation fears will no doubt spike pretty soon.

On a positive note for Steve Bruce, the manager now has clarity that he will most likely be managing the club for the foreseeable future and what sort of transfer targets he can have. Plus, when all is considered, the Magpies boss did a decent job of keeping them up, and the club were never really in trouble last season.

For the 2020/21 campaign, Newcastle are priced at 9/4 to go down.

burnley to be relegated

Sean Dyche has done a terrific job at Burnley and his 10th place finish this season is a remarkable achievement.

Of course, fans would be delighted with a copy and paste for the following season but an impressive campaign one year does not provide immunity from relegation the next year.

One thing Burnley do lack is having squad strength. There is terrific quality in their first team with Nick Pope knocking on the door of becoming first choice for England, whilst Dwight McNeil has had a great start to his career, plus the likes of Jay Rodriguez and Chris Wood have provided a decent amount of goals.

However, should an injury crisis arise at Turf Moor, Burnley could be serious in trouble. The Premier League odds for Burnley to be relegated are 5/2.

Brighton relegation

It was a narrow escape for Brighton last time out. The Seagulls managed to find form at the right time to avoid the drop after failing to record a win for their first nine league matches of 2020.

Having finished between just above the drop zone in the last three seasons, it is unlikely that Brighton will muster up a surprise with a chase for the top half.

If improvements are not made to the squad before the start of the new season, Graham Potter will be playing a dangerous game if he believes his side are capable of guaranteeing a fifth consecutive season in England's top flight.

Brighton are 4/1 to be relegated.

Leeds relegation odds 2020/21

One positive for Leeds is that it has been 22 years since all three promoted sides from the Championship have been immediately relegated. With Fulham and West Brom seemingly the more likely promoted sides to go back down, it suggests that the side from Yorkshire are here to stay in the top flight for a while, at least.

Out of the three promoted teams, Leeds are certainly the more likely follow in the footsteps of Newcastle, Wolves and Sheffield United to record a top half finish on their return to the Premier League.

Leeds are 4/1 to face immediate relegation in 2020/21.

LEEDS UNITED TO BE RELEGATED @ 4/1

Sheffield United relegation odds 2020/21

One of the surprise packages of the 2019/20 season, Chris Wilder has set the bar really high for his Sheffield United side going into the new season.

One advantage for newly-promoted sides is that they have the ability to perform without fear. Now that the Blades are no longer a newly-promoted side, the pressure is on for them to perform to the same standard as they did this season which can often result in a team having the second season blues.

Wilder's men are priced at 4/1 to be relegation in 2020/21

West Ham relegation odds

For a team of West Ham's stature, this season was too close for their liking.

The Hammers did appear to benefit from the re-appointment of David Moyes, succeeding the manager that succeeded him back in 2018. If West Ham fail to make improvements at the club in the near future, the reality is that the club will not be going anywhere and will spend year after year looking over their shoulders instead of aiming to progress.

The re-appointment of Moyes suggests that the club are in a state of going round in circles. It is now up to the board to break this vicious cycle.

West Ham are 4/1 to be relegated.

Southampton relegation odds

The Saints have experienced a great amount of benefit from persevering with Ralph Hassenhuttl after Southampton's 9-0 defeat to Leicester in October placed them in great trouble.

Danny Ings might be called upon once again to score around 20 goals next season but with the manager's proven ability to drastically turn things around at St. Mary's Stadium, they should have little to worry about regarding potential relegation and will most likely aim to break into the top half next year.

The Premier League 2020/21 odds for Southampton to be relegated are a high 7/1.
