Mauro Icardi just hasn't been able to get the main spot at Paris Saint-Germain and the addition of Lionel Messi in the summer has only turned him further away from the club and a future in Ligue 1 looks dead in the water now. Indeed, with Kylian Mbappe and Neymar already at the club by the time he joined and Edinson Cavani in his final year there too, it was never going to be easy to get into the side.
12 goals in 20 Ligue 1 appearances would follow in his loan move there back in 2019, and he officially signed last summer, for which he has bagged 10 goals in 31 games and now struggles for game time more than ever.
Juventus are on the lookout for another forward too, with Cristiano Ronaldo's move to United leaving them wide open up top, just as Alvaro Morata continues to split the room. Icardi had a phenomenal record with Inter Milan in Serie A, netting 111 times inside 188 games, including 29 in 34 in the 2017/18 season that saw him challenge for the European Golden Shoe.
Reports are suggesting Juventus want him this January, but it remains to be seen on their budget. However, with them struggling to get into the top four, they could well pull all the strings to get him back to Italy.
