Timo Werner Next Club Odds

Timo Werner next club odds

Timo Werner is currently one of the hottest prospects in European football.

The 24-year-old has quickly become regarded in being one of the top strikers in the game, with only Robert Lewandowski and Ciro Immobile having scored more across the top five leagues this season.

With twenty-six goals across all competitions, the German's statistics speak for themselves. His form in-front of goal has led Leipzig to become Bundesliga title contenders, whilst also taking them into the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

On the back of such form though, he has been heavily linked with a move away from Germany. Due to his high demand, we've looked into Paddy Power's market for Werner's next club odds.

Liverpool the big favourites

At 4/9, Liverpool are the clear frontrunners in Paddy Power's betting market to secure Werner's signature.

The player actually addressed potentially signing for the Reds back in February, claiming it 'made him proud' to be linked to the club, labelling Jurgen Klopp's team the 'best in the world'.

Flirting with sides seems to have become the norm for the modern-day player, with Werner publicly expressing an interest in joining Liverpool. It isn't a surprise to see his odds to join the club be so low then, as he hasn't spoke about any other European team in the same manner.

Despite sitting on top of the Premier League by twenty-five points, it can be argued that Klopp's squad is in need of a new number nine. The team are heavily reliant on Roberto Firmino, and some fresh blood would help them compete on all fronts next season.

On paper, the transfer makes all the sense in the world. However, it is far from being a sure thing, with other sides popping up on Paddy Power's list.

Man United and Barcelona - 6/1

Both Manchester United and Barcelona have been given an equal chance in signing Werner at 6/1.

It can be argued that Barca are the more likely to pursue the striker, with the Red Devils already having Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood at their disposal. That isn't to say that Werner wouldn't be a quality addition, it just feels like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have other priorities in the next transfer window.

For the La Liga side though, the ageing Luis Suarez is their only natural number nine, so a move from their perspective does make sense.

This story could be fuelled by an Ousmane Dembele exit, with various reports linking the Frenchman with a move away from the Nou Camp. Barcelona like deploying their offensive players with the incentive of attacking on the front front, so Werner could be an ideal signing for Quique Setién.

AccaTracker Tips

Bayern Munich - 17/2

Bayern Munich are certainly no strangers in taking top Bundesliga talent, as we have seen them poach various players from clubs in their league for many years now.

Could Werner be another? Paddy Power currently have the reigning German champions at 17/2 to do so.

Their large price clearly comes from the fact that Lewandowski is showing no signs of slowing down, having actually scored more than the German himself this season.

The Bundesliga leaders preferring playing with a lone striker and Thomas Muller in-behind, so a move for Werner seems unlikely, unless Lewandowski makes a shock exit.

Chelsea - 11/1

According to reports, Frank Lampard is prioritising a move for a forward this summer.

Tammy Abraham has been in strong form this season, but the squad clearly lacks quality in depth up-top. We've taken the liberty into looking at three strikers the Blues could sign, with Werner popping up as one of them.

He would certainly be an ideal fit in Lampard's team, as the forward enjoys making runs in-behind, with the rest of the eleven working around his movement. We see traces of this with Abraham being deployed up-front with two inside forwards, so the transfer does have potential.

However, Paddy Power clearly feel that if Werner is to move to England, it will be for champions-elect Liverpool.
