Chelsea watching AC Milan captain (Calciomercato)

Chelsea sent scouts to watch AC Milan defender and captain Alessio Romagnoli at the weekend, during his side’s 1-0 defeat to city rivals Inter. Maurizio Sarri is believed to be a huge admirer of the Italian defender, who has the ball-playing skills needed to play in a Sarri system. With David Luiz now 31 and Gary Cahill 32, the Blues will be looking at long-term replacements for the pair in the not too distant future and 23-year-old Romagnoli fits the bill.

Turkey move likely for Divock Origi (TalkSport)

Out-of-favour Liverpool striker Divock Origi could be set for a move to Turkey in January, with both Besiktas and Fenerbahce showing interest in the Belgian international. Origi was on the bench at the weekend as Liverpool defeated Huddersfield Town 1-0 but was unused by Jurgen Klopp, as he still waits for his first appearance of the season. He spent last season on loan at Wolfsburg and does not appear to be in Klopp’s long-term plans with both Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge firmly ahead of him in the pecking order.

Chelsea could move for Piatek (Mail)

Maurizio Sarri is reportedly considering a second raid of Serie A in January, with Chelsea currently considering a move for Genoa Krzysztof Piatek. The 23-year-old has been in outstanding form since moving to Italy in the summer, scoring 13 goals in just nine appearances for his new club and has quickly put himself on the radar of a number of top clubs. Chelsea have previously been linked with Mauro Icardi and Patrick Cutrone as Sarri eyes a replacement for Alvaro Morata at Stamford Bridge.

Dortmund eyeing three more British wonderkids (Mirror)

Following the success of Jadon Sancho in the Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund are believed to be eyeing moves for three more young British prospects. The three in question are Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi, Manchester City’s Phil Foden and Liverpool’s Bobby Duncan. Foden is regarded as one of the brightest talents in England but is one the periphery of the Manchester City squad, while 17-year-olds Hudson-Odoi and Duncan look some way off establishing themselves as regulars at their respective clubs this season.

Mourinho chasing Koulibaly deal (Times)

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has set his sights on adding defensive reinforcements in the shape of Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly. The Senegalese international has been linked with Chelsea in the past and is one of the most-wanted defenders in Europe. He recently impressed during Napoli’s 1-0 victory over Liverpool and would improve a United backline that has recently been centred by Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof.

Wolves to complete January Reach deal? (Sun)

Premier League new-boys are believed to be considering a deal to bring Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Adam Reach to Molineux in January. Reach has been in excellent form for the Owls this campaign, having a goal of the season competition with himself at Hillsborough, adding to his recent tally with a stunning effort against Middlesbrough on Friday night. Manager Nuno has named an unchanged team in each of their first nine games in the Premier League, but could be looking to add competition in January.
