After Leicester City's tough relegation from the Premier League, The Foxes will have a tough time keeping hold of their star players, one of these being Harvey Barnes. The 25-year-old allegedly has a number of suitors already, having scored 13 goals and created one assist in the top-flight last season. One of the most likely destinations for Barnes is Europa Conference League Champions West Ham. Leicester beat the Hammers 2 - 1 on the final day of the season, with Barnes grabbing a goal, but the win wasn’t enough to save The Foxes from relegation.

In comparison to West Ham’s wingers this season, Barnes has outscored both. Said Benhrama and Pablo Fornals. Barnes scored 13 goals in all competitions for Leicester, whereas Benrama bagged 11 goals and Fornals managed seven.

West Ham seem the most likely of candidates for Barnes this summer, with The Hammers looking to bolster their squad this summer.

Aston Villa will be playing European football for the first time since 2010 and are looking to build on their squad to compete for the trophy. Playing in Europe is tough on teams, so depth is the biggest concern for Villa this summer.

Though Villa tends to play with two up front, Barnes would be a valuable addition to Unai Emery’s attack. Ollie Watkins was Villa’s top scorer last season with 16 goals, but behind him is a big gap back to Douglas Luiz who bagged just seven goals for the season.

Barnes would be a good signing for Villa, and it’s a likely one, especially with the draw of European football.

After a not-so-ideal season that left Spurs in eighth and without European football, Tottenham are looking to start fresh with Ange Postecogual and a potential new face in attack.

With Heung-Min Son on one wing, Tottenham have relied on Dejan Kulusevski on the other wing. Combined they scored 16 goals, with Son scoring 14 and Kulusevski bagging two, just three more than the amount Barnes contributed this season.

Barnes is an attractive acquisition for Tottenham, especially as Kulusevski’s season-long loan has come to an end, with no movement in their hopes for the Swede to become a permanent member of the squad. Whether this is as likely as other destinations will depend on how much Tottenham plan to spend this summer.

Another club that can offer Barnes European football is Newcastle, who are back in the Champions League after 20 years. After their most successful season in at least a decade, Newcastle are looking to strengthen their squad in order to compete and have the necessary depth.

Other than Callum Wilson on 18 goals, no other Newcastle player matched Barnes’ 13 goals for this season. Miguel Almiron scored 11 in all competitions, Isak scored ten goals and Joelinton scored eight goals.

Newcastle would be a more than desirable destination for Barnes, allowing him to compete at the top of the Premier League and in the Champions League, it is a likely move, though not as likely as those above.

However, despite all the links to moves away, Barnes may also stay put this summer. Despite The Foxes’ return back to the Championship for the first time in eight years, Barnes may stick around to help Leicester bounce straight back up to the Premier League.

Barnes spent nine years in Leicester’s youth system, making his senior debut in 2016. After spending two years on loan at MK Dons, Barnsley and West Brom, Barnes came back as a regular starter from 2019 making 146 appearances and scoring 35 goals.

Though sentimentality isn’t always at the forefront in football, Barnes staying at Leicester could be a likely move, especially if his starting price seems to be £30 million.

Brighton will play European football for the first time in their history, and with this historic season will come issues for The Seagulls. The majority of this squad will have never played regular European football, and so Brighton will have to plan for injuries and tiredness by adding depth to their squad.

Barnes would be a good addition to the squad for a number of reasons. There’s a high likelihood that a number of Brighton’s stars will be leaving the Amex this summer. Alexis Macallister has already made his move to Liverpool and Moises Caicedo has been linked heavily to a move to Chelsea, meaning Brighton’s top scorer and a clutch midfielder will be gone.

The winger could bring the goals Brighton will miss from Macallister, as the Argentine scored 12 goals this season, one less than Barnes. Though this is the least likely move on this list, it would be an exciting move for both parties if Brighton were willing to splurge £30 million on Barnes.
