A return to France may be on the cards for Anthony Martial as he no longer seems to have a starting place at Old Trafford under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Frenchman had an underwhelming season last campaign, failing to rediscover his goalscoring form from the previous year where he finished as the club’s top goalscorer with 27 goals in all competitions.
Now, with the additions of Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho to Manchester United’s frontline, along with the emergence of Mason Greenwood, Martial’s minutes in the starting lineup will suffer.
A change of scenery and lifestyle may be what he needs to revitalise his career and with reported interest from Paris Saint-Germain, who look like they will be losing a key man in Kylian Mbappe next season, Martial may be able to return to his homeland and fulfil the world-class ability he’s shown at times whilst at United.
Either way, PSG may look to replace Mbappe for next season and getting in a 25-year-old Martial with proven ability in both England and France may just be the answer.
The Anthony Martial transfer odds to PSG are at 8/1
