Patrick Schick Transfer Odds

When Milan Baros became the last Czech Republic player to win the Golden Boot award at Euro 2004, he was already on Liverpool’s books, and now, Euro 2020’s joint top scorer best placed to join the Merseyside giants.

Having managed more assists than Schick, Cristiano Ronaldo will take home the Golden Boot should nobody eclipse their tally of five before the tournament’s conclusion, yet the 25-year-old’s performances at Euro 2020 have shown he’d be a worthy member of Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Widely expected to be in the market for attacking reinforcements, Schick’s versatility combined with his eye for goal would prove beneficial to a Liverpool front three which stumbled at various points last season. He’s 6/1 to join the Reds before the window slams shut.

Just one year after winning the Euro 2004 Golden Boot, Baros made the move to Aston Villa and the West Midland’s club are amongst the favourites to the Bayer Leverkusen man.

Dean Smith has already shown ambition in the market this summer, bringing in Emiliano Buendía from Norwich City for a club-record £33m. Schick would be another astute signing for Villa, as they continue their push to break into the European spots.

The future of club captain Jack Grealish may have an impact on whether the 1982 European Cup winners can afford another big-money signing, with Schick priced at 8/1 to be pulling on a Villa shirt next season.

Unlike their Premier League opponents in Villa, West Ham United will have the promise of European football to attract any potential signings this summer and it may be what brings Schick to the London Stadium.

David Moyes’ men exceptional 2020/21 campaign earned the Hammers a place in the Europa League group stage for the first-ever time. Should West Ham have any hopes of replicating their form of last season, Schick would represent the sort of signing that could elevate the club to the next level.

Having only made the move to Bayer Leverkusen from Roma in the last summer transfer window, the Bundesliga club would no doubt demand a hefty sum, making a move to east London priced at an unlikely, but not impossible 12/1.

In what would no doubt be one of the coups of the window, Brighton & Hove Albion are amongst the bookies’ favourites to jump in and sign Schick.

Schick would become just the third Czech to ever play for Brighton, yet the chances of seeing him in the blue and white stripes of Albion appear to be slim. One of the breakout stars of Euro 2020, a move from Champions League regulars Leverkusen, to a side who often flirt with relegation from England’s top-flight, would appear a step backwards.

Yet, Graham Potter was outspoken in his side’s need for a striker at various points last season and it’s 20/1 for Schick to turn up on the south coast.
