Saul Niguez is a player that could be on his way out of the Wanda Metropolitano, following a fall out with manager Diego Simeone in a 0-0 draw against Getafe in March, following his substitution at half-time. The 26-year-old completed 90 minutes just three times in the next La Liga 11 matches, leaving his relationship with his Argentinian manager somewhat fractured.
Since making his debut for Atletico back in March 2012 at the age of 17-years-old, Saul has played 337 games for Atletico, scoring 43 and assisting 19. He is currently eighth on Atletico’s all-time appearance list at 26-years-old. So far in his career, Saul has won La Liga once which was last season having been out on loan at Rayo Vallecano in 2013/14, as well as two Europa Leagues' in 2012 and 2018, a Copa del Rey in 2013 and a UEFA Super Cup in 2018.
